I’ve always been drawn to the brands and small businesses that make you feel something. The restaurant you tell everyone about. The hotel you’re already planning a trip back to. The boutique you can’t leave empty handed. The brands that don’t just sell something, but create an experience around it. A sense of place.

With a background in advertising, I’ve built my career helping hospitality, tourism, retail and lifestyle brands become those brands.

I founded Katie Kainer Creative because I wanted to offer something more personal than the traditional agency experience.

When we work together, I want to know your brand. What makes it special, who walks through your doors, what your customers love about you and where you want to go next. That understanding becomes the foundation for everything we create.

Because the best marketing shouldn’t feel like it could belong to anyone else.

From marketer to tourist.

I’m also the creator behind The Tipsy Tourist, my travel, food, fashion and lifestyle brand. What started as a college assignment, is now a near and dear hobby.

Building a brand and audience of my own has given me the opportunity to experience marketing from both sides. I know what it takes to create for a brand, but I also understand what actually catches someone's attention, earns their trust and makes them want to experience it for themselves.

I’m Austin based, Texas State educated and rarely without an opinion on good branding.

When I’m not working on a campaign, you’ll probably find me planning a trip, trying a new restaurant, putting together an outfit or creating something for The Tipsy Tourist.

I believe good ideas can come from anywhere, details matter, and great marketing starts with actually giving a damn about the brand behind it.
